Rocks, Blocks, and Crayons

Life is still happening for us.

Recently (this week) I hit a rock (rather a boulder). Literally. With our car. And the front bumper almost came off. Bleh. Thankfully we were going at a slow speed, I was turning around in dead end street. Thankfully Little John and I are safe, he didn't even realize something happened. Thankfully the car was still drive-able. Thankfully we have good insurance. Thankfully the car repair place our insurance recommended is nearby our place. Thankfully they had an insurance representative at the repair shop, and she took care of us. Thankfully the car rental place was right next door to the repair shop. Thankfully John wasn't upset, and he ordered pizza and wings for me the day it happened because he knew I was stressed and upset. Thankfully it is all going to work out. I feel stupid for doing it, but it happens.

Little John is learning that we color with crayons only on paper. He discovered yesterday that he could color on the kitchen island (and this morning on the cupboard shelf). Thankfully he helped me clean it up. Thankfully we got washable crayons, so with a little water and dish soap, it came right off.

(This is after I caught him in the act, I think he has just learned to smile for the camera)

Little John also discovered putting blocks down his shirt. He thought it was hilarious.

The video gets really funny at 1 minute in

Yesterday we cooked food at Grandma Clark's with Aunt S. and cousins. When cousin J. was just a baby and I was still pregnant, there was a moment while I was holding baby J. and I got this feeling. He knew the baby growing inside of me, and they were going to be good friends, because they were good friends before this life.

Then this happened, and I can tell, that feeling coming true. It's almost like they were recognizing each other. Haha, song from Saturday's Warriors comes on "I've seen that smile somewhere before..."

Life. Lena is a stay-at-home mom, and student at WGU (studying Special Education). John works at Jolt (in Lehi) as chief architect. Little John is 16 months, he mimics words and actions, and is always looking for an adventure. He also loves to read books with mom/dad/anyone that will read to him.
